When you use DiningHaul, we collect:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Order Information: Menu items ordered, pickup times, dietary preferences, allergies, and customizations.
- Account / Community Information: Affiliation with a community or chapter account when applicable (for example Greek houses, motels/hotels without food service, apartments, wine clubs) and meal plan details.
- Guest Order Information: Name and email you provide for truck pre-orders when ordering without an account.
- Payment Information: Payment card details are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage Data: Pages visited and interactions with the app to improve our service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Process and fulfill your food orders
- Communicate order status and pickup notifications
- Process guest truck pre-orders and online pre-payment
- Manage meal plans and credits for community / chapter accounts
- Display dietary and allergy information to kitchen staff for safe food preparation
- Improve our menu and service based on usage patterns
- Send community- or chapter-wide announcements (if enabled by your community administrator)
3. Information Sharing
We share your information only as necessary:
- Kitchen Staff: Your name, order details, dietary restrictions, and allergies are visible to the food truck kitchen staff preparing your meal.
- Stripe: Payment information is processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Community / Chapter Administrators: Designated admins can view aggregate order data for their community or house.
- Service Providers: Cloudflare hosts our application. Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, encrypted databases, and secure authentication tokens. Payment card data is tokenized by Stripe and never touches our servers.
5. Your Rights
- Access and download your order history
- Update your dietary preferences and allergies anytime
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of community- or chapter-wide announcements

6. Cookies
DiningHaul uses localStorage to remember your login session and cart contents for your convenience. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
7. Children's Privacy
DiningHaul / HWYCAFE ordering is intended for general customers and community members (including college students) and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the app.
